Not only an action movie

It starts as a great action movie, with war depicted as realistic as possible. Bodies are sliced or cutted into pieces with lot of blood flowing.
Then it turns out to be a drama movie.
After a tragedy in their village, three bandits make a pledge to live as brothers and join the army to ensure wages for the village's survival

During the war the loyalty and their friendship is tested

Althoug the intention to create a human drama is interesting the result is pretty flat and vague. Combats and battle scene are much more impressive than the drama

Love drama

The story of Takumi, living with his 6 years old son Yuji after the loss of her wife Mio, struggling between his physical sufferings and Mio's promise of coming back during the rainy season spelt before her death. On the first anniversary of her death the rain season starts and something strange happens, allowing Takumi to remember his love story with Mio from the fisrt problematic encounter in high school to the wedding.

Amazing

On the way to the university Makoto meets a strange girl named Shizuru. The two find a forest behind the campus where they spent their days togheter. However, Makoto has feelings for another girl.
